What Pro gives you
One subscription, 5 US dollars a month. Here is exactly what it covers.
The short version
The studio is free. Every effect, the engine, Game Review, saved projects and presets cost nothing, and you can record your own screen to make a video without ever paying us. Pro is for getting a finished file off our servers instead.

The parts worth explaining
Cloud rendering
Our servers draw every frame of your line and hand back an MP4: landscape, square, portrait or vertical, at the resolution and frame rate you pick. The job runs while you do something else and we email you when it is done. Finished files stay available to download for seven days, and My renders lists them all.
Voice over
Record or upload a clip against any move. The studio holds that move long enough for the clip to play out, and the render mixes it into the finished audio. It is how you narrate a video without performing the whole thing live in one take.
The watermark
A free video carries a small line reading Made with ChessDrama.studio beside the board. On Pro it is off by default, and you can switch it on and write whatever you like in it, which is useful for your own channel name.
Billing
- 5 US dollars a month, taken by Stripe. Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and similar. No pay-later plans.
- Cancel whenever you like, from your account page. You keep Pro to the end of the month you have paid for, and nothing further is charged.
- Change your mind before it ends? Resume in one click and billing simply carries on from the date it would have.
- Refunds are considered case by case. Start a private topic on the forum and tell us what happened.
- You must be 18, or have a parent or guardian subscribe for you, because a subscription is a contract.
Nothing you make is held hostage by the plan. Projects are ordinary PGN files, effects and all, and Export PGN hands you one at any time, on any account.
